What should i do if the passport number has changed? Is my Esta authorization still valid? The ESTA authorization is closely linked to the passport number and the data relating to the latter cannot be changed after the approval of the ESTA. Therefore, if for any reason the passport number changes (expiration, loss, theft etc), it is necessary to apply for a new ESTA with the new passport number.
The ESTA authorization is valid for two years from the date of its issuance or until the expiry date of the passport, in the event that it expires before the ESTA.
